Connecticut Department of Labor Resources

  • CT’s Manufacturing and Other Middle-Skills Jobs – In-depth information about Manufacturing careers and other opportunities in CT including job descriptions, average wages, training requirements and more.
  • CT’s STEM and Manufacturing Jobs – Detailed information about STEM and Manufacturing careers with job descriptions, average wages, training requirements and more.

Connecticut Technical High School System
The largest high school system in Connecticut serves all geographic regions with 17 diploma-granting technical high schools. The Manufacturing cluster prepares students for careers in manufacturing in areas including automated manufacturing, mechanical design and engineering, mechatronics, precision machining, and welding and metal fabrication.

Connecticut State Colleges & Universities (CSCU)
CSCU is governed by the Connecticut Board of Regents and is made up of 12 regional community colleges, 4 universities and an online college. Credit programs leading to a degree or certificate, as well as non-credit, skill-building programs are offered at most schools.

Goodwin University Manufacturing Training
Goodwin University offers a variety of majors and degree and certificate programs to develop the skills that will lead to careers in manufacturing, including manufacturing management, quality, supply chain and logistics, CNC machining, and certified production technicians.

Regional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing (RCNGM)
RCNGM was created through an award from the National Science Foundation and addresses the need for highly skilled workers in the new manufacturing workplace by building programs that provide resources to educators and students interested in learning new technologies in manufacturing.
